Description
Lizzie Brown is a ceramic maker and designer specialising in hand built porcelain. All of her ceramics are individually made by hand, therefore each piece is unique and no two are exactly the same. Birds, hares and foxes feature prominently in her work, interweaved with patterns, landscapes and flowers. A range of found objects are impressed into the clay and sprigs added to give a strong textile quality to her work. She loves animals, nature, vintage textiles and storytelling...Oh she does love a good story! Using glazes developed from her own experiments with colour, her work is fired in an electric kiln, sometimes two or three times and lustred with gold in order to create a finish that is unique to her work. Her ceramics can be found in galleries and gift shops throughout the UK.
